Simcore

projectactive

Simcore is a scientific computing and 3D simulations web platform hosted at alawein/simcore. The project falls within the scientific-computing domain and carries a P3 priority in active development.

The frontend is built with React, TypeScript, and Vite, providing a modern single-page application architecture for interactive scientific visualization. The platform integrates several specialized libraries: Three.js handles 3D graphics rendering for simulation output, Plotly.js provides 2D and 3D data visualization with interactive charts, MathJS powers the computational engine for mathematical operations, and React-KaTeX renders LaTeX-formatted mathematical notation directly in the browser.

Simcore also includes Capacitor integration for mobile support, enabling the web application to be packaged and deployed as a native mobile application on iOS and Android. This cross-platform capability extends the reach of the simulation tools beyond desktop browsers.

The project was originally developed as part of the nexus-framework ecosystem with a Supabase backend providing data persistence and authentication services. Like Llmworks, Simcore has since been separated into a standalone project. The Python stack designation in the project metadata reflects backend or computational components that complement the TypeScript-based frontend.

Simcore was cataloged on 2026-03-13 as part of the effort to index all alawein repositories into the project knowledge base, and it has an associated Notion page for workspace tracking.
